Hyperpolarized gases have become a powerful tool to extend the range of MR applications focusing on lung imaging and studies of the brain.

  • RAPID Biomedical has developed coils for non-proton MRI using hyperpolarized gases such as 3He or 129Xe.
  • The range of coils includes simple transmit/receive surface coils and complex designs like 3He or 129Xe lung coils for patient studies.
  • Coils for animal studies at any field strength are also available.
  • We are able to adjust the coil design to your scanner and application specifications.
